A place to call home

It's been about three weeks since I stepped in to my new space and I have been slowly opening up to the city. While I do like change, I have to embrace it at my own pace and on my own time.

Now before I continue, I normally share my knitting journey and write about different projects that are going on along with some fun creative side projects that I think of, mostly because I think it is important to 'Know Your Maker' and to see the work/ passion that goes into each project. Starting this blog and sharing my knitting journey has been a great release for me in an area that I never felt strong in (writing). I will still share those stories, I am just expanding my writing to include answers to some questions that I am often asked, like what's my favourite ________ , or where my inspiration comes from, or what's next for SS, hopefully I can accomplish that here through my adventures.

I found it hard for me to let go of my comfort zone in Toronto and actually move my whole life out to Calgary but it's been nice to feel like the new kid again. I've had to find all new hikes and a new morning routine. Unpacking all of my things only reminds me that I have done this many times before. I never would have thought that I would move so many times I can't even count them on both hands... My 'home' is in all of these boxes and no matter what space I'm in; it is like a new canvas waiting to be painted. Change feeds creativity and no matter how hard it may seem change is a good thing. I can say it never gets any easier but it is always a great adventure.

What are four walls, anyway? They are what they contain. The house protects the dreamer. Unthinkably good things can happen, even late in the game. It's such a surprise. ~ Frances Mayes

Do you like change? What was the last thing you did to step outside your comfort zone? Let me know in the comments below!

Cheers
