"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new" ~SOCRATES   January, a month that for most is used for resolutions and goal setting.  While I don't make resolutions, I do set goals and I also use this month to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. This year I took the time to REALLY soak in the down time because I new I needed to prepare as this year will be full of changes and new adventures. If you follow me on instagram you will know that, yes N+K Adventures is making it official! He asked and I said yes :) While I am totally stoked and excited for...

    My Simple Smile

Home Stretch! It's Christmas day and I finally feel like I am on top of all my projects. During the fall winter season, I have very little time to respond to emails and conversations on Etsy but that doesn't mean that I don't read each and every one of them. I often get bogged down with show set up, inventory , deliveries...ect.  that when I see photos of your knits, or when you show me your well loved knits from many years ago, or when I read your little notes and messages, it motivates me to keep creating, keep knitting and keep making. Halloween, a definite love/ hate relationship I have with this holiday. I LOVE seeing all the new costumes that kids have now and how creative things have gotten. This year surprisingly, I have been WAITING to write this post because I had the perfect knits for a costume....

Summer is finally here!!! Even though I think about winter all year around, I am super excited to finally bring some colour back into my skin and spend some sunny days knitting outside. If you have been following along you might have seen my most recent collection, a collaboration called Formal Rebellion. If you haven't, you can read all about it here. It's been a few weeks since the excitement of show and I have been going through a bit of 'post show withdrawal'. Everyday I am busy preparing for the fall and the launch of True North, however I can't stop thinking about everyone's kind words and excitement for Formal Rebellion. Most of you have been eager to know,...

    FAT 2014

April 25th Fashion Art Toronto (FAT) 2014 a date I will never forget. At the end of last year all I had on my mind was FASHION, I wanted to produce more pieces and I wanted to challenge myself with bigger knits and edgy designs. There was no better place to showcase such work other than at Arts Fashion Week here in Toronto. The Idea of knitting 10 looks was a challenge I was ready to face. I chose to work with Jen Menecola from Sainte Genovefa, her line of one-of-a-kind avant-garde pieces was a perfect fit for the established theme of InFashion/ UnFashion and our chosen sub theme of Cult and Culture. The team behind our titled Formal Rebellion...
